A decade ago, there was a significant shortage of washing stations along the several miles of forest between the Moramora River and Shakiso town in southern Ethiopia. Today, that’s changed, with numerous washing stations now catering to the growing needs of smallholders in the region. Among them is the Bishan Dimo washing station. An offshoot of the Mulish washing station, Bishan Dimo spans three hectares in the Guji Zone and is known for producing an abundance of grade-one washed coffees. This station is committed to environmental sustainability, improving accessibility for local smallholders, and ensuring equitable pay for high quality coffee. The establishment of the Bishan Dimo washing station has not only boosted the local economy but has also fostered the continued growth of a brilliant community.

Coffee’s coming from the Bishan Dimo washing station are typically of the washed variety. However, they also produce natural coffee’s and have begun experimenting with small fermented lots as well. This coffee is truly the quintessential washed Ethiopia: spectacularly bright and juicy, bursting with an abundance of citrus and floral notes. It’s just lovely!

    Available in 12oz, 2lb, or 5lb bags.
