The Gotiti kebele, within Gedeb woreda, is home to 868 farmers who deliver cherry to a washing station established in 2023. Processing 500–600 tons annually, they meticulously wash, pulp, ferment, and dry their coffees while maintaining strict lot separation for traceability. Gotiti farmers grow coffee on small plots of 0.1–2 hectares, often intercropping with banana and acacia trees for shade.
